    Always busy
    Alot of co workers riding it out until retirement
    Difficult HR process
    $$ not fantastic

    Cons

    Working on government contract is difficult and the stakeholder is a often outdated customer to work with.

    Pros

    Paid well, not overworked, offering a range of options for flexible working hours and with a very short normal working week.

    Cons

    Shift work is difficult for maintaining a work life balance however this can be optional depending on the role.

    Advice to Management

    No advice to management as at a site level they did a terrific job and were receptive to constructive criticism.

    The company values their employees. The work environment was always very friendly. They have flexible working hours and understand the work/life balance.

    Pros

    Nothing really. Struggled to understand why i was hired - absolute waste of my time. Potentially good team culture but my experience could be isolated

    Cons

    No objectives. Lack of good data. Lack of process. Very erratic decision making process. Clearly lacks skilled people eithin organisation. Runs on govt grants and funding.

    Advice to Management

    Spend time thinking about policies and please invest time and money on people.

    I worked at Transfield Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great team within the department. Training programs well run and access to them was good.
    Communication between site teams to share ideas and processes was good to start with and became more effective when decent IT tools were implemented.

    Cons

    Senior management and executive were disconnected from the business.
    People were viewed as numbers and not as key assets to the business.
    The imput of long term employees was not valued.

    Advice to Management

    Need to take the focus back to employees and reward those who do their jobs and show loyalty.

    Pros

    Great diverse business operating across many different industry sectors.

    Cons

    Does not invest in its people. See's them as numbers . No training. On-boarding process is appalling. Constant pressure to cut costs and people.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your employees - change the culture and those who lead HR!
