- 2.011 Apr 2023Senior Patient Access RepresentativeFormer Employee, more than 5 yearsOrange, CA
Pros
Great benefits, access to the 24/7 medical library lounge, sleeping pods, and higher salary than other hospitals in Orange County.
Cons
This review is particularly for the call center department (Patient Access Team)-this department feels like a replica of high school, but worse. At first management makes you feel like a impeccable asset to the department, then you will endure psychological abuse after being groomed. They have a iron-clad promoting "system" where only management gets promoted. There has to be an issue when a significant portion of the staff are on FMLA for stress, depression and anxiety. Although it's remote work, you continuously are micromanaged throughout the workday-it feels immensely bureaucratic. Management also makes you feel guilty for applying to other departments. You can't complain to HR because management always wins.
