I have been working at Uline full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay for customer service and warehouse is unmatched, product discounts, training program, clean buildings. Branch manager knows every employees name and actually has a soul. Very good at keeping employees up to date with industry standards and changes to prepare them for potential customer feedback.

    Cons

absolutely horrid, hence the extremely high turnover rate and constant job postings. The company loses employees on a weekly basis whether it’s from being fired for not “being uline enough” or people quitting on the spot. Management has openly asked me to leave good reviews about the company thinking I enjoy working here......do not believe any 5 star reviews that mention hiring “the best of the best” or anything of...

I have been working at Uline full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible hours when needed but shifts are inconvenient for family oriented people. We do same day shipping and everything must ship no excuses. Go home when the work is done. Usually by 7-8 pm.

    Cons

Very high standards. 100% quality is expected which is not a realistic goal.

I worked at Uline full-time for more than a year

    Pros

First off, I was in your shoes two years ago, reading reviews on this company, thinking the bad ones were disgruntled employees who got fired and I overlooked them. DO NOT OVERLOOK THE BAD REVIEWS! They are true! Uline is very good at promoting their good pay and benefits for entry level positions and they try to cover up everything that happens inside the four walls. The only thing I can confidently say is a pro about...

    Cons

Management. I ended up leaving due to poor management. Managers have their preferred employees and if you are not one of them, don't even think about giving your opinion or speaking up with an idea. I was chased out by a single employee who thought they were better than everyone and would do anything in their power to get you fired. I mentioned multiple instances where this employee was in the wrong to management and...

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Uline full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

excellent salary, insurance, paid time off, and bonus

    Cons

extremely sexist (and racist) dress code, all managers are micromanagers, culture of mistrust for managers and coworkers, everything has to be done a very specific way--don't appreciate outside the box thinking or creativity, vacation time doesn't roll over, will risk employees' well being and send out in treacherous weather, very strict sick policy, and very strict clock in policy

    Advice to Management

Women should be allowed to wear slacks and dress shirt without a suit jacket since men are allowed to do so and not have to wear nylons with skirts/dresses. Outside the box thinking is extremely beneficial to companies--feedback should go both ways.

I have been working at Uline full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Employees are treated like family, which makes you want to do your very best. Pay is great, bonuses and profit sharing are excellent with many other perks. We are treated to special events, encouraged to pursue continuing education (sometimes offered in-house) and are offered many team building opportunities. We are equipped with all the materials, tools and gear to do our job with speed, passion and operational excellence....

    Cons

Culture is competitive. You are working with top notch employees, be prepared to bring your "A" game every day. Strick uniform code. Must look neat and tidy with tattoos covered and piercings removed. Excellent Attitude a must.

    Advice to Management

As we strive to be the best, we usually look at things with a critical eye. This is necessary for sure. Constructive criticism is very helpful, but also when managers give praise for a job well done it is appreciated greatly!

I worked at Uline full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits and profit sharing bonus, generous PTO, clean and safe environment

    Cons

Very strict and old fashioned dress code, extremely micro-managed, unable to use PTO unless requested very far in advance and no flexibility due to low staffing

    Advice to Management

Do not micro-manage and watch employees every move.

I worked at Uline full-time for more than a year

    Pros

bonuses and benefits were excellent. Higher pay the industry standard

    Cons

Long hours, work/life balance was hard given its a 10-7 shift and sometimes longer.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within more. Maybe they've fixed this since I was there, but that was the major reason that I left was because they did not promote from within.
