I have been working at Union Bank of India full-time for less than a year

    Pros

GOOD STAFF AT LEAST IN MY BRANCH,VERY COOPERATIVE.

    Cons

If you are from MP region u would most likely get rural posting, bad infrastructure,no ac's ,very old and small premises, over worked staff and branches are understaffed, largely crowded with customers, its like anytime a stampede could occur. While if you are from gujarat region, scenario is totally opposite. And very bad transfer policy.

I worked at Union Bank of India for more than 10 years

    Pros

Served for 36+ years, now retired. Lots of sweet and sour experiences.Good bank, but not very efficient. Slow decision making, maybe because its a government bank. Languishing between 5th and 7th position among nationalized banks for too long.

    Cons

HR Polices could be better. Transfer policy needs a change. It is used as a tool to harass and brow beat the staff. Promotion becomes an albatross since transfer is necessary.
