I worked at United Medical (Delaware) part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Commute to work was short.....

    Cons

This place is so unprofessional. Coming from working someone who worked at one De biggest hospital. The biggest mistakes every. Bad management. Focused on wrong issues issues instead of making money for their clients If I were a physician I would not use United Medical would be losing money.. Big employee turn over rate.... Some is quitting EVERY DAY... All roles don't not apply to everybody.... Nepotism is very big at this employer. Everyone is related. Kamal THE OWNER supports and is aware of all issues.

I have been working at United Medical (Delaware) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you work hard you will be recognized and promoted. I started out as entry level and am now a Manager. There have been many changes in management recently, which mean fresh ideas and chances for improvement. Understanding the demands of the job, while working as a team to improve relationships interpersonally and with clients, continues to promote a newly positive work environment. The changes in attitudes by putting new people in leadership positions has lended itself to a proactive approach rather than what was once a negative atmosphere. This in turn alleviates much of the pressures described as being overworked and unappreciated. Also, I’m not personally related to anyone who works at UM, was never asked to write this review and I find upper management to be extremely approachable when there is cause for concern.

    Cons

Room for improvement in the areas of a more affordable health insurance package for individuals, spouses and family. Additionally, designating a team to handle phone calls, rather than AR’s, would allow for more productivity on a daily basis.

I have been working at United Medical (Delaware) full-time

    Pros

    You get a paycheck - that's it.

    Cons

Constant overtime with no appreciation from current manager. Manager does not act professionally and consistently talks to his employees about his personal life. Low salary with horrible benefits, and with all of the overtime hours required there is no balance with a personal life. Newer employees are being favorited and being compared next to senior employees!

I have been working at United Medical (Delaware) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Training has really developed in the 3 years I've worked here. It has become a much better learning environment. Coworkers share great relationships among one another and this creates a positive, fun working environment. Benefits: 3 weeks of discretionary time and one floating holiday to use however you'd like, with 40 hours available to roll over to the next year. After 3 years you receive 3 more days. 401K that matches up to 4% Short term disability for all employees, even if you aren't on the insurance Paid maternity leave up to 13 weeks I feel comfortable approaching management or HR if I am having any issues.

    Cons

Some of the work is repetitive, but medical billing is repetitive anywhere you work. Inadequate incentive for the billing department specialists.

I worked at United Medical (Delaware)

    Pros

    - good source material for an Ethics class

    Cons

    - CEO admitted guilt in illegal DE campaign financing scam to bribe American politicians as a foreign national- Google "Kemal Erkan bribery scandal" . - CFO lacks formal accounting training and struggles with intermediate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Tax and Finance principles. Takes poor financial performance out on employees. Note Linkedin Profile for source - CEO & COO have directed all employees to leave 5 star Glassdoor reviews to skew poor ratings, which undermines the integrity of their business. - Abnormal ie- fake social media followers indicating purchases of social media followers, obviously against the terms of service for social media sites. - HR and management are not independent, causing sensitive employee health information to be leaked to management under the new self-insurance health plan. - CEO trifles with responding to Glassdoor comments when he should be focused on selling work and making the company profitable.

I worked at United Medical (Delaware) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A quick training ground for H.S. Or college grads. But don’t stay long or you will be over worked and under paid.

    Cons

Dealing with the CEO irrational mood swings and fits of anger. No loyalty to workers. Known for hiring family members but only one family reigned supreme over all others and there was no way to get promoted above them. A very one sided company which played on people’s insecurities.

I worked at United Medical (Delaware) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You will gain experience in medical billing from a range of specialties. Great for recent grads with little to no experience or someone looking to change careers to healthcare

    Cons

They over work you, I wasnt sure if I was billing and accounts receivable, or still in a call center. No work life balance, with very little discretionary time. high nepotism & favortism. No room for advancement just come to gain experience. They want employees to lie on social sites for the offices invested to look better to the public which brings in more revenue for them! Very manipulative when it comes to bonus or talk of career advancements. Management doesnt follow the sweat shop rules that regular employees follow
