I have been working at Upstate Medical University

    Pros

Benefits Best employer in the area, terrific mission to provide the best heath care in the region flexibility, understanding balance between personal and professional obligations.

    Cons

Unions can sometimes cloud judgment of both employees and management which can lead to an unproductive work environment. New York State budget crisis continues to add additional burden to the hospital.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep employees informed of stats of negotiations with New York State. Continue to work with Unions to make the work environment as productive as possible.
