I worked at Urban Outfitters full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Can be rewarding and fun- I experienced a significant amount of growth in my time there, due to strong leadership who prioritized employee development. This was not the case in all stores or districts I worked in, however. Advancement is possible, but may take time.

    Cons

Not consistent culturally from market to market. Some stores can feel quite toxic, due to few resources and a workaholic culture. Your mileage will vary, and in some markets a negative vibe trickles from the district level down. Compensation only becomes truly livable at the department manager level and beyond.

I worked at Urban Outfitters full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Pays above the retail standard - Great discounts and benefits - Approachable upper management - Acceptable of all types of people - The product is amazing - A ton of growth opportunity - Collaborative Staff - The company is continuously doing well even with other retailers declining

    Cons

Only con is the retail schedule which you should expect when applying for a retail job. The only reason I left was for a non retail job, and I miss urban so much.
