I have been working at Valvoline full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Can purchase Vacation/Sell vacation, decent Health Benefits, Christmas bonus every year, small yearly raises, 2 call ins count as 1 point.

    Cons

Always understaffed, Management doesn't care much about work/life balance, expected to work 12 hours if someone is sick or on vacation no matter what, seniority rules everything, laboratory staff is underpaid compared to line workers even though the lab is expected to have a 4 yr chemistry degree, no advancement opportunities

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding of personal issues, not everything is about safety, should allow cell phone usage in between work (this is the 21st century), forced overtime is unfair and quality supervisor should fill in more if someone can't work a 12 hour shift due to personal reasons.

I have been working at Valvoline full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great forward movement with right leadership. 50% off for services on your vehicle.

    Cons

Poor turnover management. No direct involvement with hiring coordinators leading to poor candidates being brought in. Store Managers promoted into less than stellar locations immediately and up on action plans leading to their eventual termination.

I have been working at Valvoline full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great Work Culture
    Good Incentives for top sales
Good advancement opportunities if you apply yourself
Work on just about every make and model of vehicle
    GREAT insurance

    Cons

    Very long hours
    Typically Shorthanded
    Low pay

    Advice to Management

Increase pay for your workers. During the summer months in the south working under the hood of a hot vehicle takes a toll on you over the course of 60+ vehicles per day. Vice versa for those living in the north where it is consistently cold during the fall and winter months. Managers do way more than they should for the pay that they receive.
