    I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time

    Pros

    - International company and recognised brand. - average employee discount

    Cons

    - ridiculous military-like rules - a cliquey, cold environment with fellow employees - pressure to harass customers even when it makes both you and them uncomfortable - complete detachment from the Australian market and consumer - training consisted of sitting in a room watching an American training video three times before being thrown out onto the floor with ruthless colleagues and no idea what I was doing.

I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time for less than a year

    Pros

30% discount off full priced items

    Cons

Terrible culture Management cutting shifts if individual targets aren’t met Fit card program is made to be competitive and results in employees becoming nasty to one another and sabotaging each other’s chances at making sales No job security Products are so overpriced that the staff discount just gets rid of the price inflation (online prices are much cheaper than in store) Management ‘forget’ about or ignore every employee benefit (or just make it difficult) - asking for your allocated breaks, to get a drink or go to the toilet feels like you’re asking too much; days that employees have requested to have off work (months in advance) have not been granted and management have forced these employees to work because they were put on the roster, when that should not have been the case. Management was always so disorganised and would always forget about some people (typically the non-favourites) that have shifts on the roster and either cut their shift or completely get rid of it, after the employee has already come in Management confronted employees that weren’t wearing makeup and told them off, possibly sending them home if they’re not looking up to scratch. High expectations when the company does not give back to its employees No social events held to benefit the culture in the workplace Being put ‘on the door’ to greet customers but then getting let go (made redundant) because employee was not making enough sales. Overall not an enjoyable place to work

    Cons

Crazy manager and area manager cared so much about hitting unrealistic kpis in non sale quiet seasons. My manager was fake and a liar. always pressured me to make money by pressuring customers. Never cares about staff. Three hour shifts were pointless. My shifts were cancelled hours before. During my time here so many quit consequtively
