Hey there - Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your tenure with Vidyard! We're really glad to hear the culture and leadership left a positive impression on you. We understand your point about the pace of change. We're a company that moves quickly and evolves often, and while that energy is part of what drives us forward, we know it can also be a lot to navigate. It's feedback we take seriously as we think about how to bring our team along through transitions in a clear, supported way. Wishing you all the best in whatever comes next!

Used to be a good place to work

Pros

Flexible work hours and the option to work remote. High level of autonomy with a lot of freedom to make your own decisions - although this could just be a result of the revolving door of managers I've experienced and the laying off of all the developers who supported me (see cons.)

Cons

High turnover with employees frequently leaving or being let go. I've had a new manager almost every year while working here, and even twice in one year on more than one occasion. It feels like there's no opportunity to grow since each managerial relationship is so short lived. I've even had no direct manager for months at a time after the previous one left or was let go. Because of the high turnover, many systems and processes have become an enigma with little to no documentation and nobody claiming ownership. Employees are let go abruptly leaving no opportunity for knowledge sharing. High stress due to an ever increasing workload and a reluctance to increase pay. The amount of things I'm responsible for is constantly growing and the support I get from others is constantly shrinking. All of the colleagues who supported me in my day to day work have been let go only to be replaced by more management. As my workload and responsibilities increase, my pay remains stagnant.

Hey there, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and for your many years at Vidyard - we truly appreciate your contributions over such a long period. We’re so sorry to hear that your recent experience hasn’t reflected the stability and growth opportunities you were hoping for. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable in helping us understand where we can improve as a company and as leaders. We know change and transition can be challenging, and we’re continuing to invest in leadership development, employee engagement, and clearer career pathways to better support our teams. We review feedback from our semi-annual engagement surveys, translating that feedback to direct actions; including leadership development programming and navigating career growth conversations with your manager. We encourage you to connect with your current leader about these concerns, your career growth, and the steps needed to move to the next level. You can also partner with your HRBP to discuss these concerns and explore any challenges around cross-team communication and work together on potential solutions. We truly want to support you. Thank you again for sharing your perspective and for the impact you’ve made during your time here at Vidyard.
