I have been working at Virgin Australia Airlines part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great range of people. usually a good amount of time between flights. Some opportunities to expand your career. Great flight deals but low pay.

    Cons

Some parts of training are thought through and others are completely missed. Very low standard pay rate for exposure to repetitive lifting and poor air quality.

  2. "Terrible Employee Treatment."

I worked at Virgin Australia Airlines part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Staff Travel is incredible and easy to take advantage of. VA is like that really nice and bubbly Aunty everyone loves....

    Cons

Until you meet them and realise how little they care about anyone’s interests except their own. So Cons, everything. Management have zero listening and comprehension skills. Pit Crew managers are content with the bare minimum and have no issue apprehending the crew outside who are busy getting injured in 55 degree cans.

I worked at Virgin Australia Airlines part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good staff facilties, good career progression providing you work in major bases, small ports such as Adelaide do not provide this though. Around seasonal events such as easter and christmas the company do things for the staff.

    Cons

Biggest Con: You will be very surprised at how little you will earn, the base rate is just above minimum wage for the aviation industry. Rex pay minimum legal wage, however they deal with less than 20% of the customers Virgin handle. Qantas group are well known for having a much more attractive pay. So you would expect Virgin's pay to mirror Qantas' based on their profit margins. Also the staff benefits are again much more appealing when comparing Qantas against Virgin
