I have been working at Virgin Australia Airlines full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The work culture at Virgin Australia is fantastic. People seem to be genuinely passionate working for this iconic brand.

    Cons

The limited financial resources that is available for the company to invest means everything is to be done with minimal financial spend but at the same time within really aggressive, if not impossible, timelines. This reduces the ability for employees to innovate as cost cutting seems to be the name of the game, not to improve the overall well being of the company.

I have been working at Virgin Australia Airlines part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people is what makes work so enjoyable, you’ll meet all walks of life from all ages and becoming a people person is 100% guaranteed. The work load is shared amongst the team onboard, most people pull their weight and it becomes almost stress less. A good day depends a lot on your supervisor for the day and good crew which 98% are great

    Cons

Some long tiring disrupt days due to delays. Being in a metal tube with recycled air up and down can be taxing. Early starts and late finishes. Difficult supervisors, difficult passengers - usually 1 on every flight. There’ll be times where you’ll feel like ‘just a number’.
