Disorganized, different managers give you different directions, managers tell you to do XYZ, owners freak out when you do XYZ and the manager then says they never told you to do that. HIPAA Laws? OUT the window. Not only will your texts about doctors appts and details be shared throughout the office, but your manager and coworkers will laugh at you and mock you. Manager spreads hateful gossip, until all the coworkers HATE each other, and by the time you realize its the management - you quit. Which I did. I went through the correct channels to talk to my boss about an issue, and he refused to even hear me. Instead his answer was to have me tell my manager, when I had an issue with my.. manager. After I quit, they admitted to trying to make me quit. Which I knew. Now they are working on getting two other people to quit. Employees steal from the company, and brag about it. One in particular WILL try and change the paperwork to make it look like you did. Be very careful. You'll start at $12.00. They'll very quickly bump you to $12.50. Then $13.00. Then you'll sit there forever. Even the managements only makes $15.00 an hour. You'll be hired to answer phones, and the doctor will tell you there's room for advancement. There is. Within a few months I had quadrupled my responbilities. But you don't get paid a penny more, and you won't be. Covid restrictions are an absolute joke. Management has their mask off half the time. I watched her, many times, tell patients not to worry about it. I also watched her take a pound of sliced deli meat out, slam a piece down on the desk and fill it with mustard, then eat it. Off the desk. The desk was never cleaned. The tech forgets to put in orders constantly. Waiting 6 weeks for glasses is not out of the ordinary. When the patients come in FREAKING out and threatening you, he will hide in the lab and refuse to come out. No one will help you when people threaten you. Even when they have a gun visible at their waist. Or threaten to go get one. it is, by FAR, the worst job I have had in 38 years. I am happy I quit. They won't fire you. Ever. The doctor will say that to you. He refuses to pay unemployment.
