Pros

They’re hemorrhaging staff so it’s a good place to get your license, as no already licensed brokers will work here so it’s a good place to start. Once you get your license I highly advise you get out for your own well being. They will try to bully you into staying and use the fact that you have to pay back license fees to try to get you to stay but guess what - any other brokerage will pay those off for you.

Cons

Worst place I have ever worked. I was there for a year and saw 8 staff leave, and it took 7 for HR to get involved after MULTIPLE reports to HR about abusive management. And ultimately HR did nothing and swept it under the rug. They use intimidation tactics to silence staff. One of my coworkers who left due to the toxic management, kept in contact with me as friends and she was served a cease and desist for speaking to me. Management then lied to me after I’d seen the letter saying I was not named and it was about “something else”. I saw extremely unethical practices, for example one broker was reported to management for breaking multiple statutory conditions, and she ended up being praised because her numbers were good. Her numbers were good because her practices were unethical and opened the doors for multiple E&Os. The broker who reported her then quit after being intimidated for reporting in the first place. There’s no training, no support, no work/life balance. Two years in a row with no bonuses while the CEO lines his pockets. An absolutely toxic and disgusting company that looks pretty from the outside - but is an absolute nightmare behind closed doors. I cried in my car after every shift in my last month. I communicated with management, I did my best in every aspect, and ultimately they’ve lost approximately 10 staff just from Nanaimo in the span of a year and call it “normal turnover” because they aren’t willing to face the fact that they are the worst brokerage in BC when it comes to their own employees. My partner noticed a horrible decline in my physical and mental health throughout my time here. All I can say is - RUN.

Pros

Starting my career was great I was really driven and motivated, learning development is great. - Paid Parking -

Cons

The company has some serious problems with managing their management. One manager in particular, though I won't name names, is guilty of psychological abuse. Including blocking development and growth, micromanagement, providinf negative feedback in public vs privately.I would strongly recommend against seeking employment with this company in their call centre. The career growth could have been better to bad management put a hard stop.
