    Approves of CEO

I worked at Wood full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Modern office facilities. Flexible hours - start and finish times around core hours. Company wide communication from Senior Leadership. Paid parental leave.

    Cons

40 hr week contracts. Reality is you need to work more to get the job done and unpaid overtime is part of the culture (for most roles), especially for the corporate staff who can't bill to clients on contracts. Lean operation. There was a lot of high volume work and pressure within the Shared Services function that you need to work overtime regularly with no acknowledgement. They trimmed down the size of the team massively. Just churn through and you're overlooked and undervalued by the HR Management. Since acquisition few issues with systems not being integrated or payroll not supporting needs of various client contract setup in region. A lot of transactional work has now been moved to India. Limited development opportunities and no career pathway from HR Officer level to BP level. This is not supported within HR Team at all, so you have to move on as everyone else in that position has over the years.
