I have been working at Woodside Petroleum for more than a year

    Pros

Good work life balance and pays well. Can get job rotations if you hired as a graduate, else have to fight for these if you are a lateral hire.

    Cons

Too much red tape and incredibly biased towards graduates. If you go in as a lateral hire you are treated 2nd class no matter your performance. Can be placed in a completely different skill pool and will be incredibly hard to change despite the obvious.

I have been working at Woodside Petroleum

    Pros

Very young staff full of eager professionals Good work life balance in WA Good weather in Perth

    Cons

Politics are a challenge in small regional player with long term employees trying to get ahead in world of few opportunities. Senior managment (CEO, CFO, Prod VP, etc) are all contract employees and are incentivized to make money for themselves and not the long term interest of the company or employees
