I have been working at Woolworths Limited part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good at negotiating time off for exams or training ie First Aid.
Can be great as a team, but depends on department and store managers.

    Cons

Co-workers who aren't pulling their weight aren't dealt with because of under-staffing; Makes the job twice as difficult.

I have been working at Woolworths Limited part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Store hours, enables you to be flexible with work and study
Pay is pretty good for retail. Have made lots of good friends

    Cons

Rude customer. Managers from the top put on too much pressure and have unrealistic expectations and it flows down the chain. Would definitely not recommend going into management here but it's a good job if you're not in management.

    Advice to Management

Have realistic expectations of your managers. Most managers work 11 hours a day. This is too much. The company needs to take this seriously and make sure staff are not working more than 9 hours a day and that they are given flex leave or something similar if they are working more than 8 hour days, like government departments do.
