I worked at Worldwide Business Research full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some events are very well produced. The emphasis on content is a plus with clients and delegates. If you are working on one of the better events, it's very lucrative.

    Cons

WBR prioritises process over people. If the event or the project doesn't fit the WBR process, the problem is the people. This means if you have the misfortune of being placed in a poor project, you are unlikely to receive support or understanding. I've never seen a company with such a high turnover in sales staff. Also, the offices are revolting. The toilets are rarely in order (often overflowing), and staff often flee to other floors. There is little space between desks. There are many good events and media companies out there. I'm working for one of them now. I might recommend you keep looking elsewhere.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Worldwide Business Research full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Central location, slightly shorter office hours

    Cons

Very small office, literally everyone can see what everyone else is doing and it is clear this is done on purpose. Staffs are underpaid and yet work beyond office hours at home. Senior management favor some people in the office and it is without coincidence that these people get promoted fast.

I worked at Worldwide Business Research full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Good co-workers, good work-life balance

    Cons

Very poor management and they tell lies. They told us the company has well prepared for the Coronavirus, they have emergency plans for this kind of crisis. They've been through SARS, 911, H1N1 etc and they survived. So no need to panic, we got your back. A week later, all the people who got hired in 2020 got laid off. I wish they could tell the truth so that we would be well prepared for this.
