        Positive Outlook
        No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at WorleyParsons full-time for more than 8 years

        Pros

        - Some fantastic teams and individuals in the organisation, particularly in discipline engineering. A lot of top operators to learn from. - Family like atmosphere. - Company feels like its finally getting its mojo back. - Digitisation of the business is starting to work with a better mix of hardware/software, facilities, active presence in social media and internal communication slowly improving.

        Cons

        - Recent dissolving of chief roles have left many discipline engineers feeling despondent about career opportunities, and some Lead Engineers are not equipped to be functional managers. This is known however and should improve with time. - Clients have unrealistic demands and are usually the biggest road block to delivery. - Some patches of dead wood somehow still floating around, stifling performance culture.

        Advice to Management

It's great to see you're trying to rebuild morale, however its a tough game with demanding and unrealistic customers. Some front line employees have great ideas on how to improve the business, however are so burnt trying to deliver on tight project budgets and maintain full billability, there simply isn't enough energy left to experiment and innovate.

          Cons

Company outsourced nearly all Doc controllers and Drafters from Australia

          Positive Outlook
          No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at WorleyParsons full-time for more than 8 years

          Pros

          - Skillful and knowledgeable engineers - One of the top tier oil and gas consultancies - Opportunities to move interstate / oveaseas - Pay is good for new employees - Can tap into wealth of knowledge globally for specific technical questions - Structured QA/QC ensuring high quality engineering design

          Cons

          - Top heavy and hence limited career progression opportunities - Company does not value employees - No pay increase for a prolonged period, meaning longer serving employees are severely underpaid compared to market value, leaving no choice but to seek externally - Employees have been made to feel grateful for job retention - No strong leaders that instil energy into the team, creating a toxic and stagnant environment

          Advice to Management

          - Needs a strong leader who is capable of instilling energy into the team - Things are improving as market picks up, but it might be too late to bring back confidence in employees - Needs more work on long-term employee retention if they do not want to lose the high-performers.
