I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Passionate people wanting to make Wyndham timeshare better, one baby step at a time. Particularly at the GC head office and resort staff.

    Cons

Huge disconnect amongst the Exec team, all of them suffer this fear of change, and do not show signs of wanting to break silos. They just keep doing the same thing every year blindfolded, keep their bonuses and fire wrong people.

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Gym and cafe onsite.

    Cons

Toxic office environment. Everyone is under constant pressure from management to perform and save a struggling business with an outdated, overpriced product and unhappy customers. Too much work and too few people to succeed. No work/life balance with emails often exchanged on weekends. Unfriendly passive-aggressive work culture.

I have been working at Wyndham Destinations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The people and the view from the office.

    Cons

Everything. Older staff are rude and terrible. Boys talking about the few younger girls in the office disgustingly. Managers are terrible (especially Mel). Turnover is crazy and you will not last any longer then two months.

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Employing within the business means that you can move around the business pretty easily. If you are a manager you will have pretty good support and if you are a good sales rep the money is fantastic.

    Cons

Corporate office is an extremely (X1000) stressful place to work. Happy and supportive environments are sadly very rare within this company. Long hours, huge expectations, unrealistic workloads timed down to the second in some cases, continuous broken promises, bullying, favouritism, boys clubs and much more. Focus is on moving into other countries meaning redundancies always happening in the shadows and if people leave of their own accord, they won’t be replaced and the workload WILL move to you. Very little training means you will be pulled up on mistakes you didn’t know anything about and you’re expected to know about tasks you have never been told to complete. The entire business is extremely silo’d and full of red tape. Each department competes against each other with the conversation always coming down to cost and which department will pay for what. This backwards and uninspiring company will quite frankly drain the life from you. It is very slow to act in the industry and relies on its size, financial backing and high priced sales to make it through tough times instead of being a business that actually does well at its core product and looks after its customers and staff. HR do try and have programs available however because you will most likely be working through your lunch break you won’t have time to make use of them. You had better get used to some phrases, “no excuses, get it done, just do it and don’t complain, don’t change what has been working for over 10 years”. Money is not worth the stress, if you can handle stress you are still better off commuting to Brisbane for the higher pay.

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Situated in the most scenic place in the world. Good salary PACKAGE.

    Cons

Old archain systems. No structure of work. Higher management thinks of IT as expenses making dept instead of an enabler. Most systems are zombies. Software infrastructure is a pain.
