    Pros

Happy friendly atmosphere. Decent pay for results.

    Cons

Commision only. Retainer paid by the company when sales are low, but is paid back from future commissions. Kinda hard to budget for...

I have been working at Wyndham Destinations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The people and the view from the office.

    Cons

Everything. Older staff are rude and terrible. Boys talking about the few younger girls in the office disgustingly. Managers are terrible (especially Mel). Turnover is crazy and you will not last any longer then two months.

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Employing within the business means that you can move around the business pretty easily. If you are a manager you will have pretty good support and if you are a good sales rep the money is fantastic.

    Cons

Corporate office is an extremely (X1000) stressful place to work. Happy and supportive environments are sadly very rare within this company. Long hours, huge expectations, unrealistic workloads timed down to the second in some cases, continuous broken promises, bullying, favouritism, boys clubs and much more. Focus is on moving into other countries meaning redundancies always happening in the shadows and if people leave...

    Advice to Management

Stop working your staff into the ground. They are the backbone of the business and so many good people have left because of the major stress levels and lack of actual management taking place.

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Situated in the most scenic place in the world. Good salary PACKAGE.

    Cons

Old archain systems. No structure of work. Higher management thinks of IT as expenses making dept instead of an enabler. Most systems are zombies. Software infrastructure is a pain.

    Advice to Management

Gone are the days when IT was expenses. IT is a life line of business. Better understand it before its too late

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time

    Pros

Due to the company being unable to provide regular tours through the hours are good, most days of the week you do around 3-4 hours work. So the only positive, the hours.

    Cons

When you are working at a smaller site as opposed to eastern sites you don't get looked after at all. You are the only member of the wyndham team that pays for parking. There is no staff room areas. Also, the contract/bonus/wage contract aren't worth the paper they are written on. In my case my bonus was not paid due to THEIR interpretation which was wrong. Even my sales and area manager agreed with me. Three is no...

    Advice to Management

If the company cant provide regular tours, maybe don't make them pay back their draw for that week. I regularly would drive the 40 minutes to work, pay my $12 for parking and then not even have a tour to see to try and make my living. Working on minimum wage and then seeing it taken out of your commission to pay back to the company is highly depressing and removes your motivation. In our instance, it was proven it was...

I worked at Wyndham Destinations full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Breathtaking views of the Gold Coast skyline, sparkling canals and scenic mountains, big staff cafeteria, gym, massage therapy room, private health insurance and free holidays for top salespeople.

    Cons

Company used the probation period to extend the recruitment process and decide if they wanted to keep me after the job interview and reference checks. Management had six week’s notice to prepare my workspace but my computer still took two days to set-up, phone wasn’t installed for a week, no swipe-card access to doors or elevators (I kept a temporary card instead). It gets worse: I took a whole month to get a parking...

    Advice to Management

It sets a bad example when management tells staff that working 8:30 to 5 isn’t enough and staff have to put in the extra hours to show passion and impress a manager enough to continue employment. It also looks bad when performance-related issues aren't discussed early on and instead left until the last month of probation, and also when management openly begins head-hunting replacements while the staff member is trying...
