    Pros

    Good benefits, bonuses and insurance.

    Cons

Upper management lacks vision and leadership - Company is directionless and everything comes down to a last minute emergency because of poor communication and leadership - Nepotism and favoritism are HUGE issues - IT is severely mismanaged and blamed for everything even when problems come from other departments.

    Advice to Management

Clearly communicate company goals and vision and insure all managers are on the same page. Lead fairly. Hire and promote based on work ethic and skills, rather than just whose your bro of the week. Listen to employee ideas and challenges and offer support before situations completely blow up.

The most hard working employees are continuously expected to pick up the slack for employees and managers who miss deadlines and under perform. Instead of holding the appropriate departments and individuals accountable for their portions of projects, upper management punishes and blames the wrong teams for project failure. Many people in director and VP positions are highly incompetent, but when things go wrong, they have the connections to the executives, so they spin every situation to make themselves look good and others look bad and the executive team doesn't care about what is really going on.

This is a good place to work if you have connections to the owners or executives. If you have the right connections, you can make big money with little effort! Feel free to blow through important deadlines, manage your teams poorly, show up only if you feel like it, then blame everyone else for your failures.

I worked at Young Living Essential Oils full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Made me look forward to root canals.

    Cons

    ...choose the root canal.

From the outside it seems like a great company—free oils, cool swag, you can diffuse whatever strange cocktail of essential oils you want at your desk and no one bats an eye (or nostril). But pull back the great Oz curtain and peek into corporate; you’ll find the promises are shallow, and the politics run deep.

Product launches are 100% a disaster, every time. Website is decades behind in technology. Recruiters pick talented people but do not utilize them. They just need bodies to fill the roles and keep the MLM machine going.

    Advice to Management

Employees are people, not cogs in a machine.

I have been working at Young Living Essential Oils full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are pretty good, it's generally a pretty positive environment. People love the product that we support. I work for a pretty awesome team, and we have good friendships among our team.

    Cons

Not the best break rooms, and the dress code isn't great. They are kind of old fashioned that way.

    Advice to Management

Better break rooms, and stock them with food, drinks and utensils. Also, sick pay would be great.
