I have been working at Zones full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are nice and you'll make friends easily and quickly. As a full time worker you'll definitely be made to work for your pay.

    Cons

There is virtually no training, no overtime pay, below average wages, sporadic hours, unfair and constantly increasing kpis, the commission structure is so convoluted and barely ever paid in full straight away. There is also quite a sexist streak in upper management.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better wages, impliment at least SOME kind of training program, give us more support and positive encouragement, and pay us our commission without making us jump through hoops to get even a fraction of what you owe.

I have been working at Zones full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Lots of opportunity here. Good leadership. Humble people. A solid mission to pivot to deliver IT Services, which is complex and requires change, change which isn’t always well received. For those considering and reading the bad press, realize that is all from sellers whose comp plans changed to incentivize Services and didn’t desire to learn that business.

    Cons

Fire fighting. Lack of insulation from squirrel chasing. Needs a more solid focus on strategy.

    Advice to Management

See cons. Continue to lead by example but don’t forget to emphasize work-life-balance. Talent retention would be easier at a more central location.

I worked at Zones full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some of the people in the London office make the company what it is!

    Cons

All of the managers here, with the exception of 1 or maybe 2, are not made to be managers. No career progression offered and a lot of favouritism with the company that everyone is aware of but nothing is done about it. The systems are very backwards and the blame culture makes it a really unhealthy environment to work in.

    Advice to Management

Make some real changes, a lot of people are only there because they have been there for years! Award the AMs that deserve it, not the new ones who come in on a ridiculous basic but then take all the house accounts! Work on helping people progress their career and pay across the board needs a massive review.

I worked at Zones full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There was a lot of freedom to do what you wanted on the job.

    Cons

I think the company has had trouble and still has trouble getting business due to multiple factors. Essentially they limited their business to public sector which is hard to establish communications other than a phone call to potential clients. Needless to say cold calling as a base for sales is an obsolete sales method today. Its a good conversion tool but thats it. Nobody got any sales on account of this.

    Advice to Management

If at all possible, figure out another way to gain business other than massive amounts of cold calling. people are just not picking up phones these days much either.

I have been working at Zones full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people are great! They will be the reason you come to work each day.

    Cons

Pay is stuck in the past. You could move from being an AE at Zones and make more as an SDR at other companies.

    Advice to Management

It is 2019. Act like it. Benefits are way behind the industry just like our pay.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Zones full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They have free food in the cafeteria. Yup that’s all the pros.

    Cons

The company has no operational fortitude and instead of putting in place the proper proceeded and supporting its staff they use and cast them away with ill repute. Stay away from this company if your considering a job.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like cattle. All the good employees are leaving because of your lack of professionalism and loyalty.
