      Pros

Co-workers are nice and you'll make friends easily and quickly. As a full time worker you'll definitely be made to work for your pay.

      Cons

There is virtually no training, no overtime pay, below average wages, sporadic hours, unfair and constantly increasing kpis, the commission structure is so convoluted and barely ever paid in full straight away. There is also quite a sexist streak in upper management.

Solid workplace with great people that sometimes lacks clear direction and leadership

      Pros

Great people and solid opportunity for upward movement within the company from an entry-level role into mid-level management. Incredible opportunity for networking due to all of the partners you interact with on a daily basis and the events you are able to attend. Wide variety of responsibilities and tasks gives the opportunity to participate in many projects from beginning to end while making an impact at the company.

      Cons

Leadership can sometimes lack the transparency that employees need in order to believe in and trust the vision of the company. The strategy seems to change too often and this leads to "fire drills" which is a part of the Zones vocabulary that everyone is all too familiar with. Once at mid-level management, there is not much room for upward movement or career advancement, which leads to people jumping from role to role fairly often to keep things fresh. The alternative is that people leave the company for better opportunities or they suffer from burnout, which is sadly a common thing at Zones because of how much they ask of employees. Guidance from leadership on strategy and team responsibilities can be vague and it isn't always clear which role/department owns a particular task or process, leading to frustration from employees.

      Good place to work

      Pros

The Menands location is really nice. The dining area is huge, and it has ping-pong tables, foosball, and several televisions. They expanded the call center area, and the other half of the office is dedicated to Finance/Corporate. Nice group of people to work with. Lots of free parking. Company breakfasts and lunches once a quarter. Casual dress is appropriate.

      Cons

Micromanagement. HR did not do its job properly, would only side on the manager's side of conflicts. Did not receive much in terms of training, but was expected to know a lot. Flex-time was offered, but not actually allowed.

      Dysfunctional Sweat Shop

      Pros

Zones pays slightly better than unemployment. Anwar is the kindest CIO I have ever worked with. Most of the other C-level folks are honest and hardworking executives who care about employees and keeping the company competitive.

      Cons

      * The CTO that runs IT is a micromanaging tyrant who creates a toxic environment across the entire company and it the cause for so much of the turnover. When you read reviews about good people at Zones, know that they probably have left or are leaving to avoid this petty dictator. Though you might have a decent direct manager, expect the CTO to rudely chastise you publicly if you do not deliver on unrealistic (and vague) requirements or if he is just having a bad day. * Expect to work 15 hour days if you are a US employee and weekends if in IT. Expect daily back-to-back meetings explaining why you are not getting anything done. * There is no appetite for training and certainly no budget. Technology is antiquated, brittle and ephemeral. You may learn some things if you are entry level but mostly you will learn to go look for a job anywhere else. * DO NOT work here if you care about informations security or privacy. The CTO is the prime example of all the bad IT managers you ever hear about in infosec circles. Expect to spend most of your time under the bus and have credit for any accomplishments you achieve stolen by the CTO. Expect a major breach and lawsuit. * The company is heavily siloed. The other departments rightly dislike IT - really just the CTO - so you will get to swim in this toxic malstrom of acrimony and non-communication while contending with duplicated and disjoint solutions.

Great place to start but not stay

      Pros

you will learn a lot if you can survive at Zones you can survive almost anywhere I am thankful for everything I learned working at Zones. The training was beyond awesome. I don't regret working for them at all. I am where I am today due to all of the years I worked there.

      Cons

Most managers are checked out and just going through the motions. So much busywork that does nothing but take your time away from building your business or making the company money. You work hard to make the relationships with your customers and once a year they take some of your buying accounts to give them to other reps. You can only work the accounts in your book of business. When you create a relationship with an mfg or customer and they want to give you a referral it will always go to someone else. They change not only your book of business every year but your compensation as well. They wait till the last minute to tell you what the new comp plan is and then they date it back to the beginning of the previous month or that month. You are not given your legal right to decide if you want to continue working with that comp plan as they have already back-dated it. They have one of the most restrictive contracts for non-compete, non-solicitation of customers, and non-solicitation of employees. There is a really strong good ol' boy mentality at Zones. You are treated like a number, not an individual.

      Great Company to learn from

      Pros

Zones trained me up on Azure Identity and M365 with helped me get my new job. If people just took the job seriously and put forth effort it is wonderful. The leadership team is super helpful and caring

      Cons

The call center workers were hard to find since most people in the pay band would rather get unemployment. My team was sub-par but it was all we could hire... it turned out it was lots of people more interested in smoking , drinking, and complaining instead of actually working.

      Pros

They have conducted three rounds of interview which took almost 2 weeks. after final round of interview I kept on following up with HR for feedback but no proper response from HR she used to say "still i haven't get the update". Almost after one month follow-up with HR finally she said that position Kept on hold. They waste your time and Please don't waste your time and don't even attend interview in this company.

      Cons

Worst Interview process. No cons to write about this company based on my interview process.
