    Pros

Flexible timings Good work life balance

    Cons

Don’t join this company and make your life miserable. Managers are the worst doing every kind of politics that you could ever imagine. There were many talented people, most of them left due to their managers and internal politics. Now most of the people who are still working here are the once who doesn’t know working and are survived mainly by their political skills. These people can’t switch their jobs because no one...

I have been working at athenahealth full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

despite a tumultuous couple of years, the company seems to have its head on straight now. things make a lot more sense internally, and the strategy feels right. working for PE is a different experience than being publicly traded, and the focus on fiscal responsibility is long overdue.

    Cons

integrating with a different company is incredibly complex and creates a lot of churn. people are leaving are a high rate and not being backfilled, meaning a lot of work is dumped on fewer people for less money, which is incredibly frustrating in all areas of the business.

I have been working at athenahealth full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    1. Culture - Out of all the companies(4), I have never come across a company with a culture paralleling this. 2. Freedom to explore opportunities - (Inhouse training on skill development - SQL, Python & Softskills) 3. Lateral movements. 4. Recognising top performers/ initiatives.

    Cons

Being in the company for over 5 years & seen the changes post acquisition/ merger, the culture has changed considerable, atleast for the tenured. But still option to up-skill and move internally are feasible.

I have been working at athenahealth full-time

    Pros

Great bunch of smart people, flexible hours, work from home, fresh fruit, yoga, great office location, many training opportunities to excel in the role,

    Cons

Too much work for the pay, no straight path for promotion experience and performance does not matter. No room for growth unless you are in the cool club, too many meaningless meetings and, procedures. No guidance on career path. The whole mood as change since the merge, loss of company culture. The focus seems to be on saving money not employees well being.
