I worked at iSelect full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Training system is great to learn, free coffee, cool office, ethically make 150k p.a but have to work hard for it.

    Cons

You have to work 6 days a week to make commission, nearly all team leaders can’t actually sell and don’t know what they are saying or training on. Expected to work overtime. Tenure isn’t recognised or appreciated.

I worked at iSelect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Casual uniform One free coffee a day Decent training

    Cons

Training is great, but once you are on the floor you see it for it is. Newbies are given old limited leads as more experienced staff have higher conversions. Understandable but it is hard enough meeting targets with limited experience, harder with old, cold leads. Targets are consistently changing. If you meet them, commissions are decent but you'll be working 30 hours technically unpaid over time every week. Complete high school mentality, boss's promote their friends, who can't do their job. Favourites are a reality, team leaders would not blink an eye if their favourite rocked up 2 hours late, still high on drugs from the weekend but if you're 1 minute late you're made to have a "conversation". Drugs are everywhere, on premises and at all work events. Not forgiving for sick leave, take one sick day and you are singled out and guilt tripped. Honestly stay in whatever job you are in.. don't waste your time here.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at iSelect part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Workplace has sleeping pods and massage chairs, 1 free coffee a day, excellent team leaders, high quality compliance team ensuring high quality standards, free meals and drinks during busy hours as well as other perks - truly a fantastic place to work.

    Cons

Have to work very long hours and are sometimes pressured to do so - a by-product of a Sales Environment.

    I worked at iSelect full-time

    Pros

Decent culture - reps are laidback and fun to socialise with. That's all

    Cons

If you hate cold calling, this is not the job for you - just stay as far away as possible. Job advert says that it is "warm lead calling" but couldn't be further from the truth - the leads are cold as ice (ie cold calling), any "warm leads" that exist are filtered to the reps who have been there the longest. Management / TLs are very judgemental. If you don't contribute much in team meetings you will be in the firing line and they will make an example of you. Team leaders/management are fake and only care about themselves. If you don't perform immediately you should fear for your job - they will terminate a handful of people after their induction period on the phones if they don't show "improvement". If you work your backside off from day dot but struggle to close the sale they will instantly dismiss you before you get a fair go at proving yourself. No growth whatsoever.

Prepared to be Micro managed, Salaries are not as good as they promote, Team leaders not qualified, prepare to be punished even if management has given you the wrong information. Prepare to screwed on your commissions.
