⭐ Happy Occupational Therapy Week! ⭐ This week, we honour the incredible work of our occupational therapists, who play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of Australian workers, assisting them through physical and psychological injury and recovery and providing support with disability and chronic illness. Our WA/NT Regional Manager, Kaila Hamilton expresses perfectly what being an OT means to her: “As an OT, my role isn’t just about the physical aspects of care. It’s also about addressing the psychological, cognitive, and even spiritual impacts on a person’s wellbeing. Helping people overcome barriers means supporting them holistically, ensuring that they can live independent, meaningful lives in every sense. I’m inspired by the diversity of individuals I work with. Each person has unique needs and strengths, and knowing that even small adjustments—whether physical or psychological—can have a lasting impact is incredibly rewarding.” Join us in recognising the dedication, compassion, and expertise of OTs across the industry. Together, we can promote overall wellbeing and help every individual to achieve their full potential!
We’re thrilled to announce so far this year our team has raised $11,006 through the Sudsy Challenge and we're ranked 5th nationally for workplace teams! We’re so humbled by the generous support of our colleagues, family, and friends. Along with the challenge of wearing the same clothes for three days, throughout the month our teams gathered for heartfelt morning teas, where we shared stories and reflected on the profound impact of Orange Sky Australia's initiative. For the past three years, our collective efforts have contributed a total of $30,500. These funds will help provide essential services like free laundry, warm showers, and genuine conversations for people experiencing homelessness. Thank you to everyone who has supported this cause. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
