What a fantastic evening at Say Hey! hosted by Partners in Diversity at the Multnomah Athletic Club last week. As a founding member, we’re proud to support this important initiative—and especially proud to celebrate our CHRO, Juan Gallegos, as one of this year’s honorees. Say Hey! welcomes professionals of color who are new to Oregon, and it was particularly meaningful to see Juan recognized after making the move from Texas last year. It was also energizing to see so many members of our Business Resource Groups in attendance. Evenings like this reflect the strength of community, connection, and belonging as people build their lives and careers here. Thank you to Partners in Diversity for creating space to uplift new voices and strengthen our region.
At PGE, “Always Learning” isn’t just a value, it’s something we actively invest in. One example is the PGE Business School, a program designed to help employees strengthen core business skills and grow as leaders. The experience concludes with a conversation with our CEO, Maria Pope, who shares practical insight on leading with clarity, connection, and courage — qualities that help us better serve our customers and communities. We’re excited to kick off the 2026 PGE Business School cohort soon and can’t wait to see the curiosity, questions, and growth this next group will bring.

Building Oregon’s Future, One Young Leader at a Time At Portland General Electric, we believe in investing in people and partnerships that move Oregon forward. That’s why the PGE Foundation is proud to support Heart of Oregon Corps and their mission to equip young people with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive. We recently joined partners from R&H Construction, Caldera and Heart of Oregon Corps to hear more about their bold vision: a 3.4-acre workforce training campus in Redmond. This future site will prepare Oregon youth—ages 16 to 24—for successful careers in the trades, conservation and wildfire mitigation. Through hands-on work in fuel reduction and land management, Heart of Oregon Corps is helping reduce wildfire risk, protect critical infrastructure, and develop the next generation of skilled workers across our state. We’re grateful to support organizations like Heart of Oregon Corps that deliver real, lasting impact. Learn more about their work: https://heartoforegon.org/
