Skillsoft surveyed 2,500 full-time employees from the United States, UK, Germany, and India, to understand the state of enterprise skilling. Respondents included executives, managers, and individual contributors. Highlights: - 95% of surveyed employees said their organization has a talent development program in place, but only 25% find it to be highly effective. - Lack of time (42%), learning formats (30%), and leadership support (26%) are the top barriers to learning. - To better achieve their skill-building goals, respondents are seeking a blended learning program comprising online, on-demand courses (39%), interactive and experiential opportunities (37%), and live, instructor-led training (37%) in particular. - Executives ranked leadership (24%) and AI skills (23%) as their top skilling needs. - 41% of respondents say they’re somewhat or strongly concerned about being replaced or shifted into an undesirable role due to a lack of skills.
