A day in the life of… Oui Wein Jien, Data Analyst Ever wondered what a day in life looks like at Vortexa for a Data Analyst? We sat down with Oui Wein Jien to find out what day-to-day life looks like, what is the most interesting aspect of his role, and what he really thinks of our company culture… Wein Jien works in the Analyst team and plays an integral role in our data quality and analytics activities and explores new ways of extracting valuable insights from our data. After joining Vortexa as a Data Analyst Intern, Wein Jien graduated from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and rejoined Vortexa as a Data Analyst. Fun fact: Wein Jien loves Korean Drama and he’s currently learning Korean.
Q & A with… Tyler Ferguson, Senior Data Scientist Tyler is a Senior Data Scientist in the Data Production Team at Vortexa. Tyler studied Maths at University then worked for 4 years as a full stack software engineer for clients in the finance industry. He went back to University to study Applied Maths and did some research in machine learning applied to Clinical Medicine before realising academia wasn’t for him! Soon after he joined Vortexa as a Data Scientist and has been learning ever since! Fun fact: Tyler used to be very fast! He competed in the UK School’s championships in the 400m relay and narrowly missed out on representing Ireland in the European championships.
A day in the life of… Rokas Chlevickas, Senior Commercial Analyst Rokas works in the Revenue Operations team handling commercial automation and enabling our commercial teams to be insight driven. Prior to joining the company, Rokas worked at ICIS as a Customer Strategy Analyst. Fun fact: Rokas is particularly interested in Cartography and anything map/data related, he’s currently learning how to draw a map of the world from memory!
