  • Update on Rider Relief Fund: We wholeheartedly thank our customers who have donated over ₹1.5Cr to support our Rider Relief Fund. We’ve added an equal amount to the corpus, and have so far distributed ₹1.7 crore in addition to 8500 ration kits to the families of over 25k delivery partners, who have been severely affected by the lack of demand in food delivery. We are continuing to make every effort to ensure that each of our delivery partners feel supported for at least the most basic sustenance until demand for food delivery recovers. #Zomato #InThisTogether

  • Update on Feed the Daily Wager: We have distributed 5 crore meals (5 lakh ration kits to feed families of 5 for a week) in 66 cities in India.   • Today, we’ve started mandating each of our delivery partners to install and use the Aarogya Setu app. The idea is to keep individuals, as well as the authorities, informed in case they have crossed paths with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus – to prevent further spread. We have made sure that our delivery partners can only log in to their Zomato Delivery Partner app if their phone has the Aarogya Setu app installed and is running in the background. With this feature, we hope to fulfill two main objectives – a) In case our delivery partner comes in contact with an infected person or visits a hotspot area, authorities will know at the earliest. This will instantly enable us to isolate the delivery partner, and support him/her for quarantine and treatment. b) In case everything is showing okay on the app, then a user knows for sure that whichever delivery partner is bringing their order to the doorstep is most likely safe and aware.

  • Introducing Contactless Dining - an initiative to help the restaurant industry bounce back faster through technology-based safety solutions. Post the lockdown, we’ll be introducing a new feature called Contactless Dining with the aim of making the dining experience safer and more efficient for our customers by eliminating the use of high touch elements at restaurants.   • Zomato Feeding India, as part of its Feed the Daily Wager program, has been able to distribute ration kits to almost 4 lac families in 38 cities in India. 4 lac ration kits = 4 crore meals for the segment of our community that needs it the most. So far, we have the support of over 95K donors who have contributed upwards of ₹27 crores towards the program.
