Decent place to work, as long as you stay to yourself, and stick up for yourself - Outside Sales Representative United Rentals Employee Review

Pros

Largest in the industry, Lots of availability to move while staying at the company.

Cons

Experiences can vary wildly from branch to branch. Generally understaffed for expected business growth on logistical side. In my experience mid and upper management will not return phone calls unless emergency. Definately have to watch your back, they will let people go very quickly.

Pros

For the most part, United Rentals is a great company to work for. They care about their employees & promote growth from within.

Cons

The RELIABLE ONSITE SERVICES division is a total and complete DISGRACE to United Rentals name due to the Management team. Over worked and under-paid. Drivers should never come close to exceeding their DOT hours. Service trucks continuously break down, sometimes for weeks at a time. Promises are made by management but are not carried out. The way routes are dispatched is completely not efficient nor achievable. Employee's are moved in to the wrong positions.
