I've only ever worked in big traditional creative ad agencies. Got laid off last year, now work in-house. I'm shocked at how much nicer & down-to-earth my current coworkers are. Realizing in retrospect how cliquey & competitive my creative peers were, and how extensively the agency model relies on social hierarchy
Is walking out of the bathroom stall after taking a loud, gassy dump to the horrified and disgusted face of your CCO a good reason to start looking for a new job? Asking for a friend.
I'm being offered some consulting work on the side. Should I tell my job? Am I risking getting in trouble just for being open to this?
Dilemma. Should I: 1. Stay put: great agency name, big fun clients, lower pay, no promotion in sight for at least a year. 2. Jump: senior title, $40K raise, agency is okay but not top-tier, clients are meh for now but could rotate onto better ones after a few months.
What is the career benefit of being at a holding company these days? Genuinely curious. Not buying the stability story either.
Feels like an SNL parody video.
I don’t get it
