How’s the Deloitte comp looking.?!
1-page or 2-page resume? (10+ YOE)
7 years out of undergrad (ivy league business program), ~4 years in MBB, then ~2 years on the internal strategy team at a major philanthropy, now ~6 months in strategic partnerships at a startup. Got an L4 offer for Strategic Partner Manager at Google. Didn’t know about leveling when I applied and probably should’ve targeted L5. It’s a meaningful paycut ($205k, $155k options) Google Y1 ~$230k vs current ~$275k Base: $155 (current $205) Bonus: 15% Equity: $105k Sign on bonus: $15k Thoughts?
For those who left consulting and were making $300k+ in TC did you have to take a pay cut? What role did you leave for? And did you go to a public company or privately held company?
Anyone else struggling to get a new job? I’ve been in consulting for 10 years and funding it very hard to leave it. It’s been 6+ months and over 100 apps with no offers. I don’t know if this is normal now days or if I’m doing something wrong.
Question for the group: Has anyone here taken a midlife/adult gap year or sabbatical? I'm excited (and a little nervous!) to start one soon – self-funded, between roles as I determine my next career step – and would love your wisdom: 1. What was most refreshing? 2. What brought clarity on your next chapter or a career change? 3. Best advice for someone on the precipice? 4. Magic wand, not-unlimited-budget: what's your wish list? Wins, regrets, surprises – all welcome. Thank you!
Pretty run of mill…some happy some pissed…a lot of talk…let’s see if ppl follow through! I hope they do…cause last time there was a mass exodus those that stayed behind got retention stuff
