I changed roles a while back, and I've been doing the new job for over 90 days, but payroll keeps saying my salary adjustment is "in progress." How long does it usually take for your pay bumps to catch up to your promotions at your companies?
How do you know when it's time to move on versus keep pushing for a raise? I've had two conversations with my manager about pay, and both times I walked away with vague promises about next quarter. Part of me wonders if I'm being too impatient, but another part of me feels like if it were a priority, it would have happened already. Has anyone been in this situation? What made you decide to stay or leave?
Do you aim for a salary goal ($150k) or a growth rate every year (5%)? I used to tell myself I wanted to hit a specific salary by a certain point but now I'm just convinced I want a steady increase.
I am curious if anyone has ever successfully challenged a low pay grade. I feel like my role has evolved way beyond my current internal level. What evidence did you bring to the table to get a grade increase?
What's your goal for the next five years? Mine is to increase my salary by 50% and I actually think it's possible.
What's the university?
🤷... And?
