Monks has an impressive client roster, and great work to showcase. Its external marketing machine, presence at conferences, etc is very impressive. They market themselves very well. The downside is they have trouble operating at the profit level to sustain the business long term, and this has created a series of restructuring, cost cuts (i.e layoffs) which have just made it a very depressing place to work. The stock price is in the toilet, which should tell you what you need to know.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to transition from IT support Engineer to Cloud Engineer. From information I found online it seems like the best route would be Learning Networking, Linux and then a cloud provider as well as projects along the way. Courses I'm thinking of are Network+/CCNA, LFCS/RHCSA, AWS Solutions Architecht/AZ-104. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction and give specific examples of what parts of cloud i should focus on to give the best chance of a job.
