I apologize for the experience of this individual. We would hope the balance of the selection process go as well as the initial contact. I can truly say this experience was outside the norm of the typical experience of both those who are hired and those who are not. We recognize that every contact we have with a candidate creates an impression of our organization. In this case it was not managed well.

After further investigation this seemed to be the normal process coming from this organization. It seems other individuals have had similar experiences. Not giving specific reasons why you are not selected rather than the standard response " we find someone better to meet our qualifications" is the lame way of an excuse. The only reason I can surmise is that age discrimination was the reason for not getting hired
