And another issue is that you might not be selected not because of your incapability but may be -
HM didn't like you
or
The job vacancy was fake, like many such cases can be observed
And obviously, these are not valid reasons so most time you will never get a sensible rejection mail with explanation.

It's essential to demonstrate that you can really go deep... there are plenty of followup questions and (sometimes tangential) angles to explore.
