The main stakeholder /owner was very interested in knowing why I was interested in the company and the role. They wanted to know a lot about my home life. Yet in speaking with 5 or so folks and having 7 or 8 conversations with various individuals. No one ever expressed any excitement about my candidacy. The process was a one way street of want and need. A 30 minute final interview where we did not speak of XCH’s creative process or the work I would be jumping into it is troubling. Although, I must say the Director of HR, Learning & Development got it. I truly knew she cared and went out of her way to communicate I was important, needed and more over wanted by an agency looking to expand its male employee base. I thank her for her due diligence and time.
