I have dealt with difficult customers. First thing's first, apologize and be get in the customers shoes and really understand how the situation made them feel. Try to handle the situation as best as possible, at the same time, de-escalating the problem for other customers/people around not to be get worried. If problem persists, get managers involved to resolve the issue at once.

I would apologize for the problem that is occurring and if I can't solve it I would get a manager.
