Interview
I interviewed for a student assistant position in the marketing & communications department at one of the colleges at SJSU. I had a very positive experience with my interview. Everything happened within a week. I applied for the position and was contacted for an interview right away the next day. I did a preliminary interview over Zoom and had a final in-person interview within a few days of applying. My supervisor and manager made me feel comfortable during the interview process and the overall atmosphere felt positive and friendly. I was offered the job within a week or two.

How would you describe yourself? What are your plans after graduating?
Asking if you have any knowledge on if you have experience on grading classes work and how to handle school jobs and class together. How to handle students questions and concerns when it comes to grading
interview process is not challenging at all with basic easy to answer questions. Application process is unnecessarily complicated and rigorous for a minimum wage position: you need a resume, sometiles 2 references, a cover letter, transcript and additional deprtment-specific questionnaires
30 minutes long first group interview, not too hard, ask some technical questions. Another 30 minutes long second individual interview with the manager and director. the decision came back fairly quickly.
