Tulip Interfaces interview question

Signed an NDA, so I can't be specific here. Generally I was asked to implement an extremely specific thing using Python. So specific that they could have asked me "Do you have experience with the Python module <INSERT_MODULE_NAME>?" and I would have politely replied something to the effect of "No."

I did my best, but I'll be honest - I almost closed the assessment immediately and dropped the company based only on the question I was asked. Poor assessment questions are a well-known and huge red flag that every engineer looks for when applying to any company. It was not at all a general programming assessment. It tested my knowledge of a tool we never previously discussed, I never implied I had used it in the past, and it wasn't listed as a skill of mine anywhere - it was way off base.
