I had a worker in another dept that occasionally was required to assist me in helping customer and he resented being taken from his primary tasks. I began assisting him with his tasks when I had a free moment and showed him how we could be more effective working as a team even though we were in different departments.

I worked with a person who also left his station to go talk with his friends. I was, for most of the day, by myself in my section. I told him I would tell the manager to switch him out my section .
