Unless a VERY crude and untactful way of asking if the applicant "has other 'time committing obligations' (ie. HoH w/ young children, enrolled in school yourself, etc.)" where the possibility of scheduling conflicts MAY occur.... THAT QUESTION IS COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE BY ALL STANDARDS!!! [and even if it were asked "for scheduling purposes"... It's still an unethical question for an (dare I speculate) HR rep to ask anyways. If the OFFERED salary w/ benefits package for the posted position falls within the applicant's expected (or asking) pay range, the APPLICANT will make the decision to accept or decline, and depending on the level of "creepy" that applicant felt by THAT ONE SINGLE question... My response is MY OWN PERSONAL and sole opinion to the "posted interview question", and stated merely in HOPES that the named employer actually READS and/or monitors such feedback, and that other applicants READ such feedback and KNOW that such behaviors or questions are not only inappropriate and unethical, but also MAY border a fine line between actual LEGALITIES, both State and Federal...}
