With a brief/guideline/customer in mind I start by researching certain aesthetics, current market, competition, emerging market, look at pinterest for inspiration and begin to sketch, from there I pick the stronger ones that fit within constraints and begin to CAD the product. Depending on company, I check in with supervisor/marketer/etc make sure I'm on the right track and I start to do materials list, manufacture specs, etc.
