Henry Rowan was a philanthropist who chose to donate 100 million dollars to Glassboro State College to start a college of engineering in 1993. Henry Rowan did not even attend Glassboro State College; he chose to give to a small school because he knew his gift would make a big difference. The small school then changed its name to honor Henry and his gift.
