Senior Full‑Stack Engineer — Job Description

Summary

Leads design and delivery of end‑to‑end features across frontend and backend systems; mentors engineers, influences architecture, and ensures scalability, reliability, and maintainability of product platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement complex features spanning frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs, services, and UIs with strong test coverage and observability.
• Own feature delivery: break down requirements, estimate work, manage technical trade‑offs, and drive projects to production.
• Lead code and design reviews; set and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor and coach mid/junior engineers; provide technical leadership and career guidance.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost across the stack; identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and SRE to define requirements, SLAs, and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to and maintain shared services, libraries, and developer tooling to improve team productivity.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and interview loops; contribute to technical roadmap and architecture decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years professional software development experience with full‑stack responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Node.js) and one frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte).
• Deep understanding of REST/GraphQL API design, authentication/authorization, and web security best practices.
• Experience with databases (relational and NoSQL), caching, and message queues; ability to model data and optimize queries.
• Proficiency with testing practices (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong system design, distributed systems knowledge, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript, serverless architectures, event‑driven systems, or streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (logging, metrics, tracing) and performance tuning.
• Prior experience building or operating production services with high availability and SLAs.
• Contributions to open source or technical leadership in cross‑team initiatives.
• Advanced degree or certifications in relevant technologies.

Pay: $55.46 – $109.10 per hour
