Your Team
The Cash Control Team is part CFS’s Customer Operations and is responsible for delivering accurate reporting and performing timely clearance of reconciliation exceptions relating to investor flows, feeding through our various application and clearing trust accounts. Cash Control performs reconciliations across all First Choice, Essential Super and Everyday Investing products.
The role plays a critical part in maintaining client monies compliance, mitigating financial risk, and supporting daily fund operations through effective cash management.
Your Responsibilities
Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of allocated bank accounts, including applications, clearing, and investment-related accounts, ensuring all reconciling items are fully investigated and resolved within required timeframes
Ensure reconciliations are completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with clear and accurate annotations (including reason, action, and follow-up
Monitor and manage aging items, escalating breaches or potential risks in line with client monies and internal risk requirements
Validate payment requests and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, appropriate authorisation, and compliance with internal controls.
Assist with adjustments and reimbursements, ensuring deadlines are met to support downstream processing and fund valuation activities
Ensure all activities comply with client monies obligations, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, or recurring issues and proactively escalate, propose improvements and assist to implement
Your Capability and Experience
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse and resolve complex cash and reconciliation issues.
Sound understanding of cash management, bank reconciliations, and client monies controls.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict daily and regulatory deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging multiple stakeholders.
High level of accountability, ownership, and risk awareness.
Experience in fund operations, banking operations, or financial services (cash control or reconciliations preferred).
