About the Role

Join our South East Print Production team as a Field Service Technician and build a hands-on technical career with a global technology leader. This is an opportunity to work with advanced production print solutions, develop specialist skills, and make a visible impact for customers who rely on our equipment every day.

In this role, you will install, maintain, and support Colour and B&W print production equipment, products, software, and service solutions. You will enjoy a varied field-based role where no two days are the same, combining technical troubleshooting, customer interaction, and ongoing learning.

Working within the VIC Team, you will be part of a supportive group of dedicated technicians who share knowledge, back each other up, and take pride in delivering excellent customer outcomes. Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, you will have clear guidance, access to experienced teammates, Technical Advisor and the opportunity to grow your technical capability in a high-demand specialist area.

To help you succeed, the support, equipment and systems needed to stay connected while working in the field. You will also benefit from ongoing training and development designed to help you build confidence, expand your skills, and progress your career.

Previous experience in the Print Production industry is highly desirable, and experience in the Office Printer industry will be highly regarded. Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced, technically confident and customer-focused Field Service Technician who is ready to apply their expertise in a specialist production print environment. This role will suit someone who enjoys complex troubleshooting, working independently in the field, and being trusted as a subject matter expert by customers and colleagues.

• Hands-on experience with high-volume production printers, digital presses, office printers, or similar complex electromechanical equipment
• A proven ability to diagnose issues efficiently and deliver lasting fixes using a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Practical knowledge of print workflows, colour quality, finishing processes, and the standards expected in production environments
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility with operators, production managers, and technical stakeholders
• The confidence to manage your own service calls, prioritise workload, and keep customers and the team informed with clear, transparent communication
• A genuine interest in staying current with evolving technology, supported by ongoing continuous learning and technical development

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated technical field service experience, ideally with production printers, office printers, digital presses, or high-volume print systems
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical, and software troubleshooting skills, with the ability to isolate faults and restore equipment quickly
• Solid understanding of production print environments
• Proven ability to stay composed and effective in time-sensitive production environments where uptime and customer confidence matter
• Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail when managing multiple service priorities
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Police Check, Working with Children Check, and AGSVA Security Clearance (preferred)
• Flexibility to participate in an after-hours standby roster as required, supporting customers when critical issues arise
• Current Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available)
