Senior Full Stack Engineer – Market Risk Technology | Investment Bank
This role is part of a leading investment bank’s Technology team, supporting the
Market Risk function in transforming and modernising its application platform. The team builds
innovative, resilient, and scalable solutions that underpin critical risk management processes and drive the bank’s technology evolution.
The
Senior Full Stack Engineer will take ownership of architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of platform APIs, microservices, and front-end components. Working in a
DevOps culture , they will deliver high-quality software iteratively while ensuring reliability, maintainability, and performance. They will also mentor junior engineers, lead design discussions, and contribute to a culture of
continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence .
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices and platform APIs with a focus on robust architecture and high-quality code
- Build and maintain front-end applications using ReactJS and integrate with back-end services
- Work with cloud and container platforms, preferably AWS , to deliver scalable solutions
- Promote best practices , automated testing, observability, and continuous improvement
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing through code reviews and workshops
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes efficiently
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot , microservices, and modern software architecture
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and SDLC tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo)
- Experience with RDBMS (Postgres) and observability tools like Grafana/Splunk
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills
