As an L&D Trainer, you will assist in the implementation of the strategic L&D training plan by delivering high-quality training programs that support safe work practices and ensure compliance within a healthcare environment. You’ll play a vital role in improving patient and staff safety across Fiona Stanley Hospital.
As an L&D Trainer, you’ll make a positive impact by:
Delivering and assessing training programs and competencies in patient handling and Aggression Prevention Intervention – API2
Assisting in risk minimisation strategies related to patient handling tasks
Completing safety observation assessments and competencies
Maintaining training statistics and supporting LMS course management and participant resulting
Ensuring training delivery meets Serco and WA Health quality standards
Providing guidance using a risk management approach
Contributing to continuous improvement and upholding HRMS values

Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment
Experience delivering and assessing patient handling or aggression prevention–related training
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer focus and ability to build effective relationships
Ability to work autonomously and within a team
Ability to adapt quickly to new training processes and technologies
Knowledge of WHS and ergonomic principles relevant to manual handling and aggression management
Workplace First Aid certification including current CPR
Bachelor qualification in human movement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing or related field, or working towards this (desirable)
National Police Check (essential)
Up-to-date vaccination status in line with Department of Health requirements
