As a behaviour support practitioner at Aspire, you’ll receive supervised field experience required to obtain your BCBA or BCaBA certification. Aspire will also engage experienced external supervisors (e.g. IISCA, RTT and ACT) as mentors. Either a BCBA or BCaBA certification is required to become a program manager.As an early intervention therapist, undergraduate student (psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy or related coursework), teacher or parent, you can become a Registered Behaviour Technician through Aspire.
Registered Behaviour Technicians play a critical role in the development of children with autism spectrum disorder and other behavioural and social/communication challenges.
As a Registered Behaviour Technician, you’re responsible for the provision of direct therapy services in the implementation of programs and behaviour intervention plans for children. This can take place at our clinic, at the child’s home or in their (pre)school setting.
Registered Behaviour Technician practise under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA).
